Lace Looks is a style guide dedicated to one fabric: lace. We cover how to wear it, how to buy it well, how to layer it, and how to make it look modern and intentional for every occasion, from a Tuesday at the office to a wedding weekend.
Why a whole site about lace?
Lace is one of the most searched-for and most saved fabrics in fashion, and also one of the easiest to get wrong. Too much and it reads as costume; styled carelessly and it looks dated. Most fashion sites mention lace in passing. We decided to go deep instead: every guide here is about lace, which means we can answer the specific questions people actually have, such as what to wear under a sheer lace top, whether lace tights work in winter, or which lace wedding dress silhouette suits a petite frame.
Who is behind Lace Looks
Lace Looks is founded and edited by Ayesha Jamil. Ayesha started the site after noticing the same question everywhere, from Pinterest comments to friends getting ready for weddings: how do you wear lace so it looks current, not costume-y? She researches, writes and edits the guides on this site and keeps them updated as trends shift each season.
How we create our guides
We want every article on Lace Looks to be genuinely useful, so each guide goes through the same process:
- Research first. We track what people are searching for and saving (on Pinterest and in search), what is appearing in street style and on the runway each season, and which questions come up again and again.
- Real-world styling. Outfit formulas are built around pieces that are actually available to buy, and checked against different body types, ages and occasions rather than one sample size.
- Clear, honest advice. We tell you what to pair, what to avoid and why. If something only works in photos, we say so.
- Regular updates. Trends move. Guides are reviewed and refreshed, and we show the last updated date on every article.
- Independence. Recommendations are never paid for. Some links are affiliate links, which is explained in our Disclaimer and Affiliate Disclosure.
You can read more about our standards, corrections process and how we handle product recommendations in our Editorial Policy.
