This Editorial Policy explains how content on Lace Looks (lacelooks.com) is researched, written, reviewed and kept up to date. Our aim is simple: practical, honest advice about wearing lace that you can trust.
Our mission
Lace Looks exists to help readers wear lace with confidence. We focus on one fabric so that we can answer specific questions properly, rather than offering generic fashion advice.
How we research
- We track what readers are actually searching for and saving, on Pinterest and in search, and build guides around those real questions.
- We follow seasonal trends from runways, street style and retailers so advice reflects what is in stores now, not last year.
- Outfit formulas are tested against different body types, ages, budgets and occasions. If a look only works in a studio photo, we say so or leave it out.
How we write and review
Every guide is written and edited by our editor before it is published. We use technology, including AI-assisted research tools, to help organise trend data and keyword research, but published advice is reviewed, edited and fact-checked by a human editor who is responsible for its accuracy. Each article shows the author and the date it was last updated.
Product recommendations and independence
- We recommend products because we think they work for the look, not because a brand asked us to.
- Some links on Lace Looks are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes which products we recommend or how we describe them.
- Sponsored or gifted content, if we ever publish it, is clearly labelled at the top of the article.
- Brands cannot pay to influence editorial coverage. See our Disclaimer and Affiliate Disclosure.
Images
We use our own photography, licensed stock imagery, and images shared with permission or under their licence terms. Where an image is credited, the credit appears with the image. If you believe an image has been used incorrectly, please contact us and we will review it promptly.
Accuracy, updates and corrections
Fashion moves quickly, so we review guides regularly and refresh them when trends, availability or advice changes. If you spot an error, please tell us through the contact page. We aim to correct factual errors within a few business days and, where the change is material, note the update on the article.
Comments and community
We welcome comments and questions. Comments are moderated to remove spam, abuse and anything unrelated to the topic. We do not edit the substance of readers’ comments.
